Teaching
At Lewis & Clark College I teach courses on topics related to international relations, human rights, international law, and political violence. In 2022, I was a finalist for the Teacher of the Year, chosen by the Pamplin Society of Fellows in consultation with the entire student body. I will be offering the following courses over the next couple of years:
Introduction to International Relations
Human Rights
International Law
International Affairs Senior Seminar (Senior Thesis)
Resistance and Resilience in Civil Conflict
I enjoy teaching and mentoring a variety of students at Lewis & Clark College: I have worked with the International Students Office to mentor our robust body of international students and third culture kids (TCKs) on our campus. I am the faculty advisor to the South Asian Student Alliance. I also serve on the Overseas and Off-Campus Program Committee, encouraging students to embark on new experiences and learn new perspectives by immersing themselves in contexts unfamiliar to them. I have previously led a study abroad program to India on Legacies of Colonialism at Christopher Newport University.
